Meet Laura Fox
Hi, I’m Laura Fox, Director of Access Through Action. I am an independent Assistive Technology (AT) Advisor through certified training and have over ten years of lived experience raising a deaf child. As a mum and mentor, I know how important it is to get the right support and feel understood.
Today, my daughter lives life to the full, relying on visuals, connectivity and her ability to adapt to tasks through her environments. However, the start of our journey was a very different story. Consequently, I understand the challenges and frustration of navigating the early journey and obtaining appropriate assistive technology that enables dignified access like my daughter now enjoys.
Inspired by what I learnt from my own and my daughter’s journey, my passion is helping others fast-track access to assistive technology, services and advice.
There is no greater joy than seeing people of all ages and abilities live full lives because I’ve helped them explore and select the best assistive technology and devices for their needs.
